Meet Amber Kimbrell
Property Manager, Amber Kimbrell’s love for all things houses started from a young age. As soon as she turned 18, she went to a local real estate school and became a REALTOR. Simultaneously she was attending Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) for their Interior Design Program and graduated with honors. At age 21, Amber bought her first home which is where she fell in love with renovating, a passion that has since not been stopped. Needing more spaces to renovate and realizing the passive income rentals brought in, Amber leveraged her sweat equity and was able to purchase more homes. Owning multiple renovated rental homes has allowed Amber to become a premium landlord.
This coupled with her love of travel is what created SEMO Short Stays and its success.

One of Amber's favorite activities while traveling is Scuba Diving! She met her Husband Quentin Kimbrell while Scuba Diving off the island of Cayman Brac.
Amber has a massive heart for animals and supports rescue efforts for both domesticated and marine life.

Professional Cleaning Services
Cleaning is critical in the hospitality industry. We have a professional cleaning company that cleans between every guest. Guests will pay a cleaning fee and SEMO Short Stays will pay the cleaning team; you will see this as a pass-through on your owner's statement at the end of the month. Our cleaners are not only cleaning but also refilling supplies and looking for damage to the home.
Consumable Inventory
SEMO Short Stays strives for 5-star ratings, to ensure we maintain our quality and standardization, there will be an initial investment in supplies for your home. Once you have the home furnished and we have decided to work together, I will come in and stock your home with consumable supplies such as Toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, teas, coffees, sugar, dish soap, etc. These items will be expensed out to you. The cost will depend on the size of the home and the quantity of beds/baths you have.
Maintenance Management
A home's maintenance is very important for the longevity and efficiency of the home's systems. We have a quarterly Maintenace checkup that we perform every 3-4 months between guest stays. This checkup includes changing the furnace filters, checking smoke alarms, checking for and changing burnt-out light bulbs, check that all sinks are draining properly and no leaks as it drains. We check for any damage to the property that the cleaners may have missed, and pest spray the home.
Bedding & Misc Management
As with our consumable supplies, we have standardization with our bedding/linens. This ensures quality and allows us to have replacement linens in our backstock. This avoids any downtime waiting on shipments of replacement linens and interfering with guest stays. The bedding and linens will be expensed to you. The cost will depend on the size of the home and quantity of beds/baths you have.
Advertising Platforms
Your home will be advertised on our direct booking website. There will be a landing page and a link you can send to family and friends who would like to book your space. Currently, SEMO Short Stays also has all of its properties on the Airbnb & VRBO platforms as well. Your space will be advertised on my Airbnb profile, instantly giving your space the superhost badge! All reviews that come from guests booking on my Airbnb profile are not transferable to your own Airbnb profile at any time.
Owner's Portal
You will have your own Owner's Portal where you will have access to your booking calendar at all times. Through your portal, you will be able to see when your space is booked and also be able to block off dates if you would like to stay or have friends or family who you don't want to charge. There will still be a cleaning fee at the end of any blocked-off times, as my cleaners will have to go back in to reset the home back to our standard.
